The highlight of crimson red on anthracite grey creates ambiences that encourage us to focus, dwell time on the present, a moment, this second. Just like the red safelight that illuminates the darkroom, stabilizes the image print process.

1,650 °C TRANSFORMATION

FEAR HAS NO PLACE FOR THE BRAVE

The epic course of a meteorite takes billions of years, sheer chance pulling it into our own Earth's orbit. Once in the atmosphere, friction and pressure heats it up, reaching temperatures as high as 1,650º C. It then becomes a meteor, forms a shooting star and crystallizes; like the Gibeon meteorite applied on the dial of TYPE S4.

The distinctive “Widmanstatten” crystalline pattern is so rare it is impossible to recreate as it occurs when the meteorite is travelling through the atmosphere and into the earth's floor.

The meteor sweeping through the milky-way is symbolised in our blue ceramic bezel. It moves at an elegant pace with a glowing orange ruddy passage, the gear-tooth boasts a reddish rose gold PVD streak and creates “sparks” on the crown, markers and hands.

The meteorite dial with applied rose gold coloured Swiss Super-LumiNova® BGW9 hour markers is a sight to behold and finished off with the iconic Mercedes hour hands and lollipop second hand.
